You are Feeling Very Sleepy..........

Oh my, this day something horrid happened. Big fires everywhere it seems. Jordan, a small town in Garfield county, was evacuated for a fire. 30,000 acres. A fire started in Melstone this morning, a small community East of where I live. Then a large fire in Musselshell County, where I live, started in the afternoon. I saw this large cloud as I started on the road to home this afternoon. I had to be in Billings for appointments today. As I started the drive North, there was this large mushroom type cloud ahead. It looked just like those clouds you see in an atomic bomb explosion. Weird. I had no idea what happened, nothing on the radio, I don't have a cell phone. So as I drove closer to home, I wondered to myself what was happening.

Update: Fire crews are working hard to get this fire shut down. The terrible winds have not helped in their efforts. Currently the fire is still headed to the south and has jumped Fattig Creek Road in the area close to the mine. Crews are trying to contain the fire in that area at this time. Thanks you everyone for staying out of those areas while our crews work. Please remember do not call dispatch to check on fires!!

The wind today blew like mad, a tree was down near the phone company. Branches down everywhere. It was clocked at 50 MPH, but not as bad as in Livingston. They had winds of 63 MPH. Crazy.

The Red Cross has set up camp at the Community Center, and so far a few evacuees have come in. Yep, fire season in Montana seems to be in full swing.

I had to be in Billings for a medical appointment. Seems I have to have a sleep study. I have trouble sleeping. So I have to go to the hospital and sleep on demand. Like that won't backfire. Ha......
