For the Short Shots Official Contest.
They rule the country
By wooing people's hearts.
Bureaucracy and timocracy
Are their prior ambition.
They make false promises
To the public by slogans.
They advocate for a cause,
Not noble, but for hedonism.
They wear a mask of goodwill
Before coming to power but
After that their true identity
Unfurls, causing intense woe to all.

Corruption, immorality, dishonesty
Impel them toward ignominiousness.
Being authoritative, they forget
To appease the mass, overlook
The needs of the poor, ignore
Their poverty and do not
Provide the basic sustenance.
These Satans are not merciful
Enough to succor us.
Instead they pamper their own
Aims for more money and power.

They fail to remember the
Words they gave before.
Garnering their votes, they
Manipulate their abilities,
To a vile, heinous effect.
They feed on our notes
And suck our blood out
Like leeches to become wealthy.
Philanthropy is not their goal,
Hedonism is their achievement.
They destroy our society.
