I was thinking how lonesome the trees must get during the wintertime.

Tell me, what is this all about? The leaves are falling off the trees. When the limbs reach out, the branches break off; they look cold and barren. No wonder the lonesome trees of winter feel lonely. Winter is here. There's no one here to give them a cheer.

As I began to shiver, this day made me quiver. I felt pretty cold when I started to feel old. If the lonesome trees of winter could talk, they would say, "There's no doubt about it, we can certainly relate". When the winds pick up, it causes the lonesome trees of winter to feel like a louse. They will bend and sway until they fall upon the house.

Covering them with an icy cold blanket, the snow falls on the trees, making the lonesome trees of winter look gorgeous. It's so awesome to admire, but the truth is misleading. It's not easy for them to do, since they have to stand there and take it.

Hanging onto the trees like glue, it's sad to see a beautiful painting tainted by icicles. When your bark is frozen, it's a lonely old place when you're out in the dark. It's stark with madness. Hark! The owls are hooting and the coyotes are howling. The sounds of the night give out a creepy, eerie feeling. The lonesome trees of winter are aching, just trying to survive.

Bringing back the lifeblood and restoration to the lonesome trees of winter, the daytime begins to appear. The reason is clear; springtime brings forth the greenery of the trees and the cherry blossoms. They get back their livelihood by the beauty that surrounds us.

The lonesome trees of winter need their hugs. They need them to do what they do best. They bring us their love in the fruit they provide.
