Summary of this Book...
This book is the latest in the Alex Cross series. Detective and doctor, Alex Cross is trying to give up police work. It has destroyed too much of his personal life, including his relationships. But when his partner and best friend, John Sampson, asks him for help on a case, Alex can't possibly say no. Three serial killers are on the loose, killing Vietnam Veterans and their families.
I especially liked...
I liked the relationship that Alex Cross develops with fellow detective, Jamilla Hughes, a character from the last Alex Cross novel. I also like the unexpected bond between John Sampson and one of the witnesses.
I didn't like...
I didn't like the fact that Alex Cross went back to police work. He really wants to quit, but the job keeps pulling him back in.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
I wanted to read it again. I can't wait for the next Alex Cross novel to come out.
The author of this Book...
James Patterson is very talented. There are three movies out based on his books. Two major motion pictures (Kiss the Girls, and Along Came a Spider), and one TV movie (1st to Die). His characters are very diverse. It is amazing that he has an African-American main character and women as main characters and, being neither of the two, he is able to write them so well.
I recommend this Book because...
It is hard to put down. I didn't want to stop reading it, until I finished the whole book. It's a great mystery, with suspense, drama, and romance.
I don't recommend this Book because...
If you don't like murder mysteries, then you might not enjoy this.
Further Comments...
If you haven't already, I recommend reading the entire Alex Cross series, which includes, listed in chronological order: Along Came a Spider, Kiss the Girls, Jack and Jill, Cat and Mouse, Pop Goes the Weasel, Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, and lastly, Four Blind Mice.
