Summary of this Book...
'Jackdaws' is the code-name for a miss-matched group of women sent into France to destroy a extremely important telephone exchange. This is the story of Flick, the woman in charge of these British agents.

After her first attempt to sabatoge the telephone exchange, Flick is determind to succeed the second time around. With a new plan, she sets out to find an all women team. What she finds is an odd bunch of regects, criminals and socialites. Yet, Flick still charges on, knowing that the outcome of her mission could very well change the course of the war.
I especially liked...
I began reading this book shortly after I got back from France, and it was an odd feeling to read about places you been. What I liked is the authors accurate portrayal of France. The people, the food, the culture, and the very atmosphere were described so wonderfully that it was like I was back in France.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
I wanted to go up to my teacher and shove this in her face and tell her that I learnt more about World War II from this book, than I did in half a year in her class. Of course, I have no problem with her, but it is so much more interesting learning from material like this, that actually interests me. This was a wonderful book.
This Book made me feel...
I felt like I should be back in France. I felt slightly despressed knowing that I left the very place that I had just read about. France is a beautiful and mesmerizing place, so I'm sure he had a great time writing about it.
I recommend this Book because...
I've just begun to have an interest in historic action/adventure novels, and this is a perfect example of why.
