This is very charming animated short film (it's just 23 minutes long) and is a 1982 production of London's Channel 4. Its based on the classic children's book by Raymond Briggs and has been beautifully drawn with a colored-pencils-on-paper look, with a very fluffy, dreamy quality. With barely a word throughout the entire film, it speaks volumes about the imagination and quiet beauty of a child in winter.

it's one of the greatest Christmas films of all time and is a gentle fable of friendship, snow, and love. I remember loving it as a child and even today at 15, I still can't help but sneak peeks at it while my youngest brother stares, entraced by the pictures that flow and dance across the screen.

This film is really amazing. Your children will almost certainly adore it. And about the 4th time they watch, again, I dare you not to hum along with the tunes.
