the storyline. When I read the book, it felt as if I were right there, in the book with her. You could feel everything she felt; her emotions, sensations, even her feelings of the seasons. The descriptions are so intense that I almost jumped every time something happened. I was right there cheering her on when she was making important decisions. I cried when she wept. I even held the same respects for people the way she did. Celia Rees has a great way of getting the people to feel the way that the characters are feeling. This was a deeply interesting book!

read it again. I would have too, but I have a goal of fifty books this year, and I'm not doing so hot! It was the perfect book to reread again and again. You never get tired of this story.

intense. It always had me sitting at the edge of my seat.

is a great writer. She effectively manipulates the readers' feelings.

It gives you an insight on different races of people and how they responded to one another at these times.
