The book is about a relationship between a son and his mother and the effects of it throughout his life. He attempts to reconnect with his mom after an absence of 15 years and he does so by writing her a letter, a memoir entitled 'Dear Mommy, 15 Years Later.

young adults can really gain inspiration through this short memoir as it describes some difficult times in the author's life and how he deals with various extreme circumstances.

The chapters are broken up by poetry that reflects what you've just read. Its very unique and clever.

The book was too short, hopefully the author will write another one.
