This album is fast-paced with a few slower songs to balance it out. Every song shows how far this band has come since thier debut album 'Slipknot'. All Hope is Gone takes thier previous music and ups the anty on it making it thier best album to date, with the use of different types of instruments throughout the songs amazingly done by Shawn 'Clown' Crahan and his nine bandmates.

Depending on the song you are listening to. Some songs (i.e. Snuff, Dead Memories) you can relaxe to being that they are slow melody filled songs. Other songs you can rock out to.

The melody that you here in the songs, Corey Taylor goes from down right hard singing, to a slow tone, back to a hard tone, he can change his voice in an instance that can put the listener in a trance.

Here it again and again. After the first listen you want to go through it again, because its that good, the lyrics are meaningful and for some it will just relate to you.

Alive, energetic. You really think when you listen to the lyrics and thats what Corey Taylor and the rest of Slipknot intended when they did this album.

Slipknot is a nine piece band that has been together for over 10 years with the original nine members all together, which is unheard of for most bands. Slipknot is not afraid to take risks with thier music, breaking the barriers of sterotypical Metal.

Its different then most of the music here these days. The band use different instruments that you wouldn't here from majority of the bands playing these days
