An otherworldly premise starts this paranormal romance. A bringer is one who brings the recently dead to the door of Heaven. Lucyna, a bringer, unbeknownst to her, in the beginning was an angel who had herself demoted to a bringer due to a broken heart.

Arlo is her best friend. Lucyna falls in love with a human, James. James, too, has a backstory unknown to him and Lucyna.

Will Lucyna and James make it as a couple for happily ever after, despite the hardships and schemes of a third party?

The twist at the end of the book is delightful and the story is fun to read.
