This sounds like it could be a good piece. I am not much of a gardener, though I do love flowers- the rose in particular, and I can not testify to knowing much about plants but, I do love history. I would love to check out your story, The Gardener's Daughter, as it sounds like it could be very interesting. I am only wondering how the romance factor- if there is one- plays out and how much that romance sounds like it could be from one of those adult romance novels that never really caught my attention.
I honestly think the piece shows promise, and will check it out.

That was fairly interesting to read. It was kind of cute, and I could feel that emotion many writers experience when they lose a piece, or a pen, or an idea. The only thing that bothered me about this poem was some of the lines were akward. Like "Sigh! The missing poem
invites in a flood of distress." I feel it could have been the Sigh as just a stand-alone one line and then have the next read "The missing poem invites in a flood of distress", it may just be me though.
That was very interesting, and I would love to know how you came about the idea. The format you chose to deliver this- a letter- and how it was written made me picture a young man in his early 20s eagerly writing a letter to his parents about his new job and how he came into it while breaking some rules. I also think you handled the issue of Pearl Harbor well, as it can be seen as the young man only finding out about it second hand much like everyone who wasn't in the fray did and telling his parents about it and how he played a key role in making history.
I truly would love to read more of your works as you seem to know how to handle delicate issues like this one,

Well, this was certainly cute and not at all what I expected. I find the whole situation amusing, and it almost reminds me of a time I too lost something and never could find it. I only wish I had a fairy to help me out like in the story! I do wonder though what the Sci-fi story turned out to be like. It seems like this little short could lead to a series, and I would love to read it.
