She carefully completes the task
With unprecedented care,
While she prepares her shallow mask
The phantom faces stare.

Her face - a work of art displayed
Is every man’s demise.
Behind that angel masquerades
A demon in disguise.

Reflections warp her peace of mind
And haunt her sanity.
Her heart is cold, her eyes are blind,
Through hopeless vanity.
