3 year old Mathew takes his mom for a walk!
Come on Mom!
Lets go for a walk.
Wait for me-
chasing his
meander past rose bushes
along cracked sidewalks

Budding feet
tumble over edge
scattering
thorn piercing
tender knees blood red petals
shaken off small limbs.

Be careful
gathering him up
in my arms
his smile shines
pollen glow of rose kisses,
Smell the flowers, mom!
