A dark poem I wrote while listening to the Cure. Not edited, so it may be a bit choppy.

Remember the days that never end
When the smallest shadows drink their fill
Every moment’s the bleakest moment
The darkest seconds that smile and kill

Those are the days of blue
We hurt and bleed when they pass by
I remember how the rooms closed in
I remember, I remember how you cried

Those days I felt so small
I learned that there’s no point to anything at all

And they’re names carved into my bedroom wall
A sunken place where no one comes at all
And all and these jars, I imagine they’re filled
With my friends, trapped inside
So cold
I did more than watch when you cried

I know I’m not what you need to see
And I wish for you to walk away from me

Sometimes I feel like I can scream
And shatter this never ending dream
The stars have fallen, skies cracked and gray
And I walk on the edge
Of everything I have wished away
