A poem about my intolerence of life's constant struggle
If only I could,
I do often say.
It seems,
Wishing my life away.
Picking fight’s with myself,
Like everyday.
If only I could,
It would be so good.
Trying to keep lady luck by my side.
So I’m knocking on wood,
I’m misunderstood ,
In this world I can’t often face with a smile.
If only I could,
Grab these dreams I’m lost in,
The power, the joy, the success, the fortune!
If only I could,
Rid myself of the rotten,
Denial extinguished,
Insecurities forgotten!
If only I could ,
Do it all, I would!
But here I am, it would appear
In the hear and now stood.
With all the tool’s of the day,
That are necessary to slay,
All the demons and feeling’s
That have been coming out to play.
If only I could,
Find some way of getting paid.
Just to stand up and do my thing,
You know my spitting and spraying.
If only I could,
I would, I swear,
Kick a smile in between all the relief and fear!
If only I could,
The world would be mine,
And everybody else would be stepping in line.
If only I could,
Get those six little numbers,
Think you’ll find, I’d be wiping my behind, with hundred’s.
Wishes work wonders,
If only I could,
Pursue a wish list of some kind,
That wasn’t so absurd.
But this is what I bring,
So I’m going to do my thing,
What you think, that I’d stop?
Not until the angles sing.
I’m here to stay, I’m here to say,
Until the clouds run away.
I’m hear to play.

So if only you could,
Make way.
