When you took time for granted with someone special
Honor them in all you do,
Even if they’re not with you.
Care for them with all your heart,
Right from the start.
Cherish the little things they do,
Give back in the fold of two.
Respect them for who they are.
Be sure to take their hand,
Every time you can.
Because once they’re lost,
You pay the greatest of cost.
Wondering what you would do,
If only they were with you.
