Freezing rain evokes inner childs' imagination
Winter

The glistening crust of the frozen rain
gently sparkles as it wraps winters white gift.

A blanket of snow,
so inviting, so cold.

Come play in my fluff,
build your sculptures of white.

A castle of ice,
perhaps a man of snow.

Angels fly free
with their wings of snow.

A ship on the ice with blades of steel,
main sail full, north, shall we go.

Chilled to your bone,
still you skate on the ice.

Wonders of winter,
so white and so cold.

Speaks softly, beckoning the child
Come play.
