Finally getting closure by burning this old photograph...
The girl in those pictures
Is different from the woman watching them burn
Here I stand, in sunshine watching your precious skin catch flame
Skin I trailed kisses down
Were you ever mine?
Your picture does not answer me
Is it because it's in agony?
I watch the flames engulf a fool
And then slowly work to your face
How blind had I been
How ignorant had I been
To wish my life away for you?
I needed closure;
This is it.
I loath your name; your very likeness.
I loath your immaturity and lack of tact
In fact,
There isn't a thing about you that I like.
The fire says it all for me
For that I'm rather glad
Knowing me
And how I feel
Goodbye would be the last thing you hear.
