My inner voice

I do believe my inner voice
is the same as my gut,
or maybe my imagination.

Sometimes it lives in my brain
and sometimes it lives
just behind my mouth
where I breathe the words
I am writing, into the cave of my mouth.

My inner voice
can tell me right from wrong,
and while it cannot tell me
other feelings I may have,
it is helpful when I am in a pickle!
