An optimistic poem for the Elizabeth's poetry and short story contest.
It is time to shed not a tear,
For finally here is New Year.
To forget all the past throes
Is now life's motto: no more woes.

To laugh heartily till life's end,
Previous sorrow now to rend;
Has become my life's new keyword,
I will chirp gladly like a bird.

I know that life is to mingle
Joy and anguish that are ample.
I will focus on the new moon
That is about to come very soon.
