A dark assessment of a world out of control.
I surrender. It was good while it lasted, but the world I knew is lost. They say that nothing lasts forever except eternity. But who are “they”? And how do they know?

So bring in the bottled lightning, a clean tumbler, and a corkscrew. I feel the need to celebrate what we have before it is gone.

If you care to join me, grab a glass for yourself. But I ask that you not pule and moan over our plight. Let us face the harsh reality with a toast or three, and feign ignorance.

In the end, nothing will matter.
