To his unending warmth, with care
We breathe together in our sanctuary
Crossed trees and brambles in knots,
They’re the lock and key to our place
Made of sun, shade, and a morning dew
That lets your curls smooth and sprawl

Lying there, burnt and blushed
Your beard - a patch of daisies
Plucked and placed perfectly
A nose that is carved with care and purpose
And lips that begin their journey
You lean in
With eyes of home and ambered honey

And I do too
Our beards together - a meadow

The trees whir away,
The grass breaks to pieces,
As we fall into our moment together
