| The Quadrette is an intriguing form introduced by Linda Varsell Smith on her Rainbow Communications website. The structure consists of two quatrains (four-line stanzas) with lines based on word count instead of syllables. The first stanza has 1, 2, 3, 4 words in each line with a rhyme scheme of a, b, b, a.
