Welcome to my blog: I intend to share heartfelt writing about anything that comes to mind. |
Today has been a very busy day. 😛 I am tired. At least I got a lot accomplished though. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take UP Your Cross Prompt: 1 John 4:17-21 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. This passage says we can know if we are made perfect in God's love by the way we love others. Just about the whole chapter actually talks about this subject. God is love. How do we show his love to others? Is there something you need to work on in this area? Answer: There is something God wants me to get in this passage. Not only did I feel it was supposed to be the prompt today here, but it showed up as my Scripture writing below here. I had no idea. I didn't look at the scripture writing until today. Lol I think theses verses are all about perfect love in Christ. Perfect love causes the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, causes us to confess that Jesus is the Son of God, causes us to love others like God loves us, causes us to love God in return, causes us to not be afraid, and causes us to be bold in Christ. I think I see what God was trying to tell me. You see? I have been asking God about helping me to stand up for him and to have boldness when needed. So what he is telling me here, is that because I have his perfect love in me, I have the ability to be bold for him. This makes me think back to the disciple Peter. I remember Christ saying that he had prayed for him and something about when he was converted. I often wondered about this. If Peter had perfect love in him, he would have been bold. Christ saw he was lacking this apparently. This is an interesting thought and insight. Wouldn't you agree? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. Observations: Verse 13: We know that we belong to Christ because the Holy Spirit dwells in us. Verse 14- Self explanatory! The Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Verse 15- Only those that confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God dwelling in them. Verse 16- God is love, and everyone that God dwells in will love like him. Verse 17- Perfect love causes us to have boldness in Christ while we face judgement and trials. Verse 18- Love does not produce fear. There is no fear in perfect love. Verse 19- We love God because he loved us first. Verse 20- We can not hate our fellow man and have the love of God in us. Verse 21- If we love God, we must love others also, especially other believers. Application: I think theses verses are all about perfect love in Christ. Perfect love causes the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, causes us to confess that Jesus is the Son of God, causes us to love others like God loves us, causes us to love God in return, causes us to not be afraid, and causes us to be bold in Christ. Prayer: Dear God, Please perfect your love in us so that we may have boldness in you and love others the way you love us. Thank you for revealing your word to us. I might put some pictures in it that make me happy. I would probably put some Scripture verses in there. Maybe I could add cards or notes from my friends and family. I could put a list of blessings I have in the jar. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy with Guardians Of The Galaxy and found this planet: TheBusmanPoet (36) Read this item:
Write about the greatest gift in your Blog entry today. I goofed and did today's prompt yesterday, so I am doing yesterday’s today. I had a migraine yesterday, and was not thinking completely clearly, apparently. This depends on how you look at it. The greatest gift I can give personally is my love and kindness to others. However, the greatest gift ever given was Jesus Christ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You have an opportunity to distribute an etiquette primer to every passenger on your next commercial flight. What does it say? I don't know that I am the person for this job. I might just keep it short, sweet, and to the point. “Everyone, just be nice!” When adults don't know how to conduct themselves properly, there is an issue with our society. When we grow up, we should know how to act. I should not have to tell you what is appropriate and what is not unless you were raised by wolves, the jungle, or in a zoo. Do you really want me to go there? Lol
