The Game of Death
What game is so vile as this game of death?
To breast a sea of sirens, one could lost a breath
The goal is to save a loved one being held captive.
Whom the challengers are obliged to retrieve.

These captives were unconsciously placed there.
Dozed and strapped near a siren's lair.
Players used spells to breathe below.
Yet time ticked fast if they swam too slow[ly].

Just like what happened to the lady player,
Her spell wore off, and she couldn't swim any farther.
There's a life that's at stake, the life of her sister.
In this game of death, who could save her?

She can only cry on the wooden deck.
While the crowd's sheer laughter seems to choke her neck,
Good thing there's this courageous young man.
Who tried to save her sister as long as he can [could].

He is also a player in this type of game.
But he's up to save them and not for fame.
Unlike the arrogant guy who thinks this is a race,
And only thinks of himself and aims to be the Ace.

While this young man is still underneath
His spell was almost up, he might lose his breath.
He brought with him his unconscious friend and lass
While dodging and evading each siren's harass[ment].

With one strong force, he pushed the two upwards.
While he was entangled and pulled downward,
By these naughty sirens that somehow like his charm
He grappled and shouted "ascendio!" and then ascended unharmed.

They're all above water, at last!
A hug surprised him from the lovely lass.
For saving her sister from the brink of death,
While he's still panting and gasping for breath.
