B2 - Who Am I?
"Do you know any poetry?" Asked an inquisitive Anteater, who happened to be passing that way.
"Why, yes I do." Said Alice confidently.
"Then recite for me, please."
Alice put her hands behind her back and began.
Shall I compare you with some sad dismay?
Thou art more holy and irreverent:
Rough shaken, drives the darling dreams away,
And sleep's lease is all too irrelevant;
Some glint in every eye of Horus hides,
And God-like he takes his morning latte skimm'd;
And station to station his carriage rides,
Peers at his paper through glasses horn-rimm'd;
But thy eternal slumber shall not fade,
Nor leave possessions unattended out;
Nor counted sheep wander on some escapade,
When eternal railway lines strikeout:
So long they say, and we're on our way,
So long because, we're off for the day.
"That was quite splendid, and almost completely inaccurate." Said the Anteater. "You obviously have a way with words, but it is quite a wrong way."
Prompt:
2. "Who Am I?" – Alice seems to have trouble remembering the poem 'How doth the little-'. With that in mind, pick a famous poem of choice and rewrite it in a most nonsensical way. (you must provide link to original poem within your item)
