Blog Entries for the Banana Bar Challenge |
The guy in the basement seems to know a lot about writing.com, blogging, and newsletters. I think he prints the Blogging Blitz Newsletter down there on one of those antique crank-by-hand printing presses. Write about something you may have learned from the guy in the basement or something he's said that may have been helpful to you. The Basement Guy - or as I fondly call him, B.G., is not forthcoming with a ton of information. For example, where did he come from? Where did he go to school? Where does he live? So I have to glean that information from conversations we have when I visit. He invites me to come over every Thursday. Seems Thursday is the day he has the most time to himself. So we talk about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Seems those subjects are the nearest and dearest to his heart. Life - ebbing away from us all every day Liberty - are we all losing a little each day Happiness - what defines it, do we really have it these days By the time we get through talking in the dank dark basement, I have to leave B.G and go up for some fresh air. I am even more depressed than when I went in. He started up to the Banana Bar for a few slugs and I'm headed home for some magnesium CALM gummies. Next week I think I'll take him a sunlight lamp.   .  |
