Love Cuarteto When I first saw you, I knew you were the one You came to me in a dark corner of life. From the start, I knew we would have lots of fun. Then you smiled, saying you would soon be my wife. The Cuarteto is an Argentine form of quatrain (four-line stanza) with eleven syllables per line and rhyme schemes of either abab or abba, as described and demonstrated in the following link: https://poetscollective.org/poetryforms/cuarteto/ . Down south in romantic Argentina’s sway, the emerald carpet of tall pampas grass beside reflective, smooth, sapphire water’s glass, is playground for macho gauchos on display. ~~Judi Va |
