End of Holy Week - Betrayal
A gentle rebuke
Taken too much to heart.
So what if the poor are always with us?
Money is money.

A clandestine meeting
A kiss for thirty silver.
Take him away
I'll arrange the moment.

He knew the heart,
The moment of betrayal.
Do quickly what you must.
Did he even feel guilt?

Dinner, then prayer
In Gethsemane's garden.
Sweat poured like blood.
If You will let this pass.

It continued -
The soldiers, the kiss.
Taken into custody,
The fires begin.
