We are riding the Coach to West Virginia. We play a game. Count the horses. Count the trees. Count the Ford vehicles. Before we know it, we are in West Virginia. The group is going river rafting. Not me. I watch everyone leave. I read a book. I talk to a Native American man. He is very nice. I enjoy talking to him. We have dinner at a restaurant. I have shrimp. Some of the group are having lobster. Some are having Mac and Cheese and chicken. We are going downtown and we are at the visitor center. A lady dressed in pink with red skin and blood on her tells us to follow her. We go by the theater and she says a woman was rejected by an actor hung herself and sometimes you can see her. We enter the theater. It is dark and a fog appears and a woman in a navy blue dress, surrounded by fog is wearing a noose. She disappears! StephBee ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The phantom woman says a battle was fought here. The civil war. We smell gun powder, hear horses galloping and soldiers yelling. A headless man is riding a horse. Yikes! Sung'manitu ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We walk past some other buildings. Our host says people disappear if you see ghosts tonight. I love ghost stories but even I am nervous. We hear about Native American ghosts who visit every night. We see mist and hear drums. This has been interesting. We go to our hotel rooms, lock the doors and leave a nightlight on. We hear noises in the hallway but we hope it is humans. We get through the night. We go to Spruce Knob. We hike in the mountains. I love the smell of spruce and pine. These trees are nice. There are some caves but we decide to stay out out of there. This has been a good trip. Everyone had fun water rafting. They got wet. I enjoyed the ghost stories. I did see some Native Americans by the cave. They were in a mist and disappeared. I look forward to the next adventure. |
