The Day of Thanks
The day of thanks comes ev'ry year to US
when time we greatly share with kith and kin.
Lay down the pride, that leads to petty fuss.
Enjoy the love from peaceful souls within.

The day of thanks can spread to ev'ry day
when grateful hearts do bless the world of men.
Have grace of face in ev'rything we say.
Now, bless we all to help them oft to win.

The day of thanks in fam'ly grateful home.
The day of thanks to writers' home we share.
The day of thanks in grateful, joy-filled sum
with friends of heart, whose burdens gladly bear.

The day of thanks prepares us for the time
when Time is gone in Lasting Day sublime.
