Poetry Forms Easily Explained - a work of Bianca with additions by kansaspoet |
| Decastich Deca means ten. I found out that the decastich is in general a poem containing ten lines. No meter required, just ten lines in a stanza. It is not so difficult. My example: The Miracle of an Average Day Experiencing the Glory of God as he sees the sky, smiling at the moon, he tries to count the stars. He points Venus to me, standing on a parking lot with the same name as the planet, I nod then he opens his car, steps in and waves goodbye. I close the door and my morning starts, I have no time to worry about what the day will bring, an hour later I open the door and hear the songs of several birds, praising the Lord in their own voice I hum along, my heart is blessed through His grace.
