| Freedom Tableau I watch the world spin; see where it’s goin’ – marches in the street to a youthful beat, ladies taking pride not willing to hide. Government chaos: leaders at a loss – don’t know what to do, can’t change point of view. History’s sequel – just hear the people! Not catastrophe. It’s land of the free – free to raise our voice, free to state our choice. Leaders represent. Their powers only lent. Not autocracy but democracy runs within our veins, stalwart of our gains. Together we stand – this is freedom’s land. Daily headlines cry how the end is nigh. Believe! Live the hope that somehow we’ll cope. Don’t sit passively - stand up and be free. An entry for the March 9th round of "The Daily Poem " Prompt: Imagine Dragons - What Ever It Takes Poetry Form: Tableau Minimum Lines: 12 Line Count: 30 |
