"I like the idea of mixing it up," you tell Sydney. "You know, three here, three there, three somewhere else."

"The best of the bunch, in other words!" Sydney snuggles up next to you and takes out her cell phone.

"The team captains would be the best ones to recruit first," she says as she scrolls the screen with her thumb. "Oh, Catherine! She's co-captain of the track squad and she practically knows everyone at school. I also know some of the girls on the volleyball and softball teams, we could start with one of them instead."

We could also start with the cheerleading squad, you think to yourself. We could start with Chelsea Cooper.
