Torch of Inspiration
When school bells ring to start another year,
the torch of inspiration flares again,
as students enter academic sphere,
eager to launch scholastic regimen,
where books become like vital oxygen.
Joyful laughter fills noisy hallways there,
and lore is served with chocolate éclair.
Creative thoughts emerge like butterflies
from dark cocoon with pure delight to share
through words on paper, which will mesmerize.
Rules:
The Dizain gets us back in the French form domain, which as regular readers know is a favorite of mine. This particular form was a favorite of 15th and 16th-century French poets, but it has also been employed in English by the likes of Philip Sidney and John Keats.
