Introductions, Get Into The Book

Prompt: "So perhaps, the best thing to do is to stop writing introductions and get into the book." A. A. Milne What are your thoughts on this?

I agree. Introductions to a book or movie can go on and on. It's like let's read the book already. The same when you are writing. Don't spend a lot of time with introductions. Just write. Get the story started. Bond with the characters and story lines. A brief introduction is nice and helpful but don't spend too much time with the introduction. It is more fun to write your story or when reading a book, forget the intro and just start reading the story.
