An Immortal Love

His body was breaking down. Yet, he found himself afraid of death.
He loved her but she was immortal.
They began replacing his limbs with metal limbs, his organs with transparent aluminum, and his eyes and brain with computer and state of the art components. Then came the make or break moment, loading his memories, his thoughts, his sentience, his soul back into him.
He found it difficult to move at first but quickly learned to use his new body. He looked at her. He smiled and embraced her. It didn’t take him long to understand he was now immortal
