Time to Write a Poem

April 1, 2022 This Moment

This Moment

Arriving in this space
11:10 AM, Friday April 1, 2022
I'm inspired to
         pour another cup of coffee,
                   soak in the sunshine,
         spill a tear for mothers fleeing war,
                   ask what, where, why?
         whisper a prayer of thanks
                   for the abundance that is my life,
then to sit at my computer to write.
