A poem a day for the month of April, National Poetry Writing Month |
| Primal and Pampered If you want an example of nature intersecting with civilization all you need do is observe the domestic feline. My Molly will snuggle, schmooze, bound to the sound of her name, expect prepared food at specific regulated times and yet . . . . I've seen her snatch birds from the sky, bait and trap lizards, stalk and devour mice and gophers. She is at much at home skittering up a weathered tree as lounging on a velvet pillow. ~~Judi Van Gorder Prompt: "April 13 Poem--Intersection of nature and civilization" |
