A poem a day for the month of April, National Poetry Writing Month |
| Use It I've mucked stalls bucked hay split wood and stacked chords much of my adult life. Never been a stranger to hard work. And here I am in my later years to tell you about yesterday when all I had to do was carry a tractor battery into O'Reilly's Auto Parts. I had to stop twice to catch my breath. Yes, it was heavy, but not that heavy and I should have parked closer, but these are poor excuses. "Use it or lose it," they say. Obviously, I have some work to do. ~~Judi Van Gorder "April 28 Poem: Hard work" |
