| This Morning's Stroll fragrant Rosemary greets me as I step outside the air calm and cool tight coral rose buds promise to open anon dew on velvet sheath Sweet Williams compete with Santa Barbara daisies to climb rock border Bodega Blues hold their own against Royal Iris, both stand tall loaded with sweet fruit good year for my lemon tree one picked for later golden poppies face the warming spring sun with joy brilliance on display high grasses still wet kissed by coastal morning mist soak my sandalled feet I approach the woods my redwood sanctuary brings me clarity ~~jvg Prompt: "April 30 Poem--Multiple choice" |
