Holidays in May

Gentle glow of Christmas lights
nestled in my nook.
Warmed inside by wondrous sights,
heat outside doth cook.

Summer days we must respect
nearly half a year.
Ne'er the AC we neglect.
Hopeful, bless-ed cheer.

Crank the cold to frost your toes.
Knit your heart and sticks.
Christmas joy, it always shows
as pleasantries affix.

Start your scarves as Christmas gifts.
When it's time to wrap
many stitches, hearts you'll lift.
Joyful hands will clap.
