Happy Mother's Day to My Wife

How dear my wife throughout these years!
How wondrous life to share!
How many ways her heart still nears
my own to show her care.

So many years my wife she'd been
when she called me aside
to view a test so great her grin.
She beamed in joyous pride.

"That looks just like a pregnancy test."
Uh-huh. She nods her head.
"Really?" I said, now feeling blessed.
So glad to sit where led.

The daughter was born and blest we are still.
My wife is now a Mom.
These joys I love by God's great will
with daily joys anon.

A happy day to Mother Joy,
who doth birth art and friends.
My dearest love without alloy.
Most sweet she my heart tends.
