My book for the Alice In Wonderland Challenge. |
Prompt: Who Am I? Alice seems to have trouble remembering the poem How Doth The Little-With that in mind, pick a famous poem of choice and rewrite it in a most nonsensical way. {You must provide link to original poem within your item} http.//www.poetryfoundation.org Hope Is The Thing With Feathers By Emily Dickinson Emily's Poem: "Hope" is the thing with feathers- That perches in the soul- And sings the tune with out the words- And never stops-at all- And sweetest-in-the Gale-is heard- and sore must be the storm- That could abash the little Bird That kept so many warm- I've heard it in the chillest land- and on the strangest Sea- Yet-never-in Extremity, It asked a crumb of me. My Poem I Wrote For Alice: Hope is the Cheshire Cat smiling in the sky, Secretly wanting to rule Wonderland, Tweetledee and Tweetledumb eating flower pie, Listening to the Alice Cooper Shock Rock Band. A singing bird singing in the wind, As a tiger watches from the ground below- Wishing to eat everyone living in the Glen- From the sky comes a blue flashing glow. Suddenly it rains and snows, all is still, The Mad Hatter is running from The Red Queen, He disappears inside a hat over a big hill, Wonderland is quiet. Too bad it isn't always serene. Hope Alice likes this poem. |
