Birds flying into a sunset over the sea.


Sunset

The smiling face of sunset
beaming in the furnace glow
happy on the wings of day
swimming in the cloak of night
bronze the rippled sea below
molten dreams of tomorrow
rising from the shadowed deep
to wrap our embered sleep.
