A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

Very Close to Thirty

I did a total of twenty-seven single paragraphs written earlier today at work for my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual. That equals twenty-six numeric paragraphs and one establishing shot. The reason I didn’t get to thirty today was because of two things.

One reason is what I wanted to write, and the other one is the number of lines needed for each character paragraph. It all depended on which line number it was for that particular character. They were either four, five, or six lines long. Another reason could be my replacement got there a little early. If not for that, I may have gotten to thirty.

Reason number one is that I knew what I wanted to write, but I didn’t know how to write it and keep it with the number of lines for that scene number. I knew what I wanted to write. Just not sure how to write it and keep it within the right number of lines. That happened to me several times earlier today at work.

In a way, reason number two is the same as number one, or are they just connected to one another? I also had some trouble wording what I wanted to write a lot too. Sometimes it was just a word or two that needed to be changed or re-worded, and sometimes it was more than one or two words. A few times I had to re-write the whole paragraph or almost all of it.

Come to think of it, I’m kind of surprised that I got twenty-seven single paragraphs done in one day. Even though that one day was a Sunday aka a weekend day. Don’t ask me how I did it because I don’t know. All I know is that once I started writing I couldn’t stop. The only thing that did stop me was where I work.

It's not unusual for my replacement to come into work a little bit early, but when he does he normally goes back outside to have a cigarette. Then he comes back in just before his shift begins. Today, he didn’t do that. He came in, but he stayed. Probably because of the weather. After all, it was very, very cold today. So, I don’t blame him for not doing his typical ritual.

Speaking of normally, tomorrow is the start of my first three days off from work. That usually means I will be working on Short Story or two. Hopefully, not two since this month is almost over. This month I only had one Short Story, and I have already gotten it done for this month.

So, what am I going to do if I got the time to do any writing? I have two possibilities. Both of them are scriptwriting related. One is to continue working on my second scriptwriting project. The other one is to continue working on my third one. I haven’t decided yet which one I will do, but it will probably be my third one. Then again, maybe it will be my second one.
