Time to Write a Poem

April 25 What's Next

What's Next?

Throughout my life
"What's next?"
was multiple choice.
There would be
a long list of dreams,
responsibilities, and daily needs.
The question should have been,
"What's most important
                              right now?"

These days, selection
                    has narrowed.
Most dreams answered
or modified, daily tasks
have become habit,
and responsibilities are fewer.

What's next?
Maybe I'll write a poem.
