For eight years
ever since that date
when Sam Adams first
had the dream that changed his life

he was dreaming of his dream girl
knowing that someday
she would become his wife

she haunted his dreams
he ended up waiting
for eight long years

until she walked off a bus
into his life
that date
he met his fate
