Logocracy

A poet once said to me
that the world would a better place be,
if poets were allowed to rule.
Did I mention the man’s a fool?

Poets live in a land of dreams
and have no truck with financial schemes,
but government is a matter of fact,
with bribe and wine to the rooftop stacked.
