37 Years

37 years of walking this road.
37 years of friendship we love.
37 years a home and abode
are training us for one lasting Above.

37 years a beauty she stays.
37 years I've watched for her care.
37 years her artful displays
are growing to make what she now can share.

37 years ago in my suit.
37 years ago sang of joy.
37 years ago wondrous youth
honored a man she's calling "her boy."

37 years are molding the shape
of "two become one" in blessing for aye.
37 years the calendars gape
between youthful start, and "Youth it must stay!"

37 years of marriage, right now.
37 years of marriage we've seen.
37 years of marriage's vow
to stand in The Lord, and on Him to lean.
